53.4% of the respondents are getting $60,000 or less per year including 18.2% of the professionals earning below $35,000per year. Coming from the UK market, these figures show the complete ignorance of the Australian market. With the strength of SEO and SEM to any business paying industry professionals the same wage to what they may earn at Mc Donald’s or retail alone is a great indication of why Australia is seen as a country still in the stone age when it comes to digital.

Thanks for your comment. There are a lot of opportunities in Australia for experienced SEO professionals. You will need an appropriate visa to work here though.
